All of our classes are open
to members, even the members-only classes. With an activity
pass, you can take as many classes as you wish per year. Our
monthly newsletter the Barker provides information and
entertainment about club activities as well as a place to brag
about you and your dog's latest achievements. Want to get
together with people with dogs of your same breed or mix? GLOC
members own dogs from all of the AKC groups and then some.
Every year the GLOC gives awards to its members from a
volunteer of the year award to a special award for the dog and
handler that achieve a goal in spite of themselves. Want to
learn how to teach dog obedience classes? Want to help out
with an agility trial? Want to learn more about competition
obedience or flyball? GLOC encourages members to volunteer and expand their
horizons.
Not to mention that we're a
fun bunch to hang around. Outside of a dog, a dog person is
the best friend you
can have. Inside of a dog, well, let's just not go
there.
