Agility Class Schedule

Agility is not a skill learned in a single six week class. All dogs and handlers learn at different paces and it is to be expected that classes will be repeated until the dog and handler are working at a level that allows them to move forward with confidence. We encourage you as a student, to go slowly and train correctly at the beginning so you and your dog become a successful team.

Class Information

Class duration
Six classes (unless otherwise noted) that meet weekly for 50 minutes
Cost
$80.00 plus tax per six week class
Number of students per class
  • Focus & Obedience through Beginning 2 - maximum 10 students (8 SCC, 2 members)
  • Handling through Agility Competition 2 - maximum 8 students
  • Special topics - maximum 10 students
What to bring to class
Treats, favorite toy, dog with a flat collar and on a six foot leash (no flexi leashes, chain or prong collars, or harnesses please), water dish and water. Additional equipment may be required and will be discussed at the first class.
What you should wear
Comfortable clothing, tennis shoes (please no sandals or flip flops).
Testing
Students may be tested the first and last night of class to ensure they are in the correct level of training. If a student is not ready for the class they have enrolled in, the instructor will help the student get into the correct class.
Other important notes
Dogs should be able to be kenneled, tethered, or left in a stay during portions of the class while instruction is given or courses are walked. Inability to leave a dog in a kennel, in a stay or tethered does not allow the student the opportunity to learn proper handling techniques.

See FAQ for additional questions you may have about classes.
