The Greater Lincoln Obedience Club will be holding an AKC Temperament Test (ATT) at their club on 9 October.  The AKC Temperament Test is a pass/fail, non-competitive test that assesses a dog’s reaction to stimuli frequently encountered in the environment.  The test assesses reaction to social stimuli, auditory, visual, and tactile stimuli, proprioceptive (motion) stimuli, and unexpected stimuli.  Dogs who pass earn a title similar to the Canine Good Citizen title.

 

If interested, please read the Premium in its entirety.  Here are the highlights:

1.   Dog must have an AKC, PAL or AKC Canine Partner number. 

2.   Dogs must be at least 12 months old.

3.   GLOC membership IS NOT required.

4.   Limit 2 dogs per individual, 5 dogs per organization

5.   A waitlist will be used for those with additional dogs to be tested. Owners will be notified by 7 October if their additional dog has a slot.

6.   Cost is $25 per dog.  Cash or check.

7.   Entry is via email only on a first come, first serve basis.  Attach scan or photo of completed entry form.  Pay day of trial.

8.   Trial opens for entries 8am Friday, 9 September 2022 and closes Saturday, 1 October 2022 at 11:55pm.

9.  Trial is limited to 20 dogs.

10.  If this trial is successful, GLOC plans to hold additional ATT trials in the future.
